Ground Zero Wellness

When one feels Grounded they feel solid, supported and held as they have the confidence to tackle the ebbs and flows of life with a fair amount of ease.
Yet still understanding the impermanence of life, along with the highs and lows it brings with it.
However, many may find themselves impacted by the varied challenges they face, at times daily and as such left feeling as though the very ground beneath their feet has been shaken.

The work environment often brings with it a myriad of challenges, including the lack of job security brought on by factors such as organisational restructuring
(e.g. retrenchments). At an individual level, one’s personal desire to switch careers or a lack of enthusiasm.
Given some of these often life altering challenges; regaining one’s groundedness requires the courage to accept one’s circumstances and the awareness of the emotional, physical as well as the mental impact conjured up by these experiences.

Ground Zero wellness offers individuals and groups practices that allow people to feel heard, held and supported in their process.
Psychosocial support such as Life Coaching and Mindfulness practices, Enneagram coaching are offered for individuals and groups to begin their journey regaining the resilience, to unfold, rediscover, build the will power and skill to respond to stress and anxiety with more self awareness and ease.

“Like everything in life, it is not what happens to you but how you respond to it that counts”- Steve Backley

I am passionate about the transformation of human beings. I believe we are put on earth to serve and bring about a change in the world.
It is my belief that my life’s purpose is to be of service to others by positively impacting on their lives.

The change we want to see begins with us as individuals. My journey toward transformation and healing began in 2013 when I took my first trip to an Ayurveda and yoga centre in India.
My intention was to seek a holistic, natural and a different approach to the western medication.
After I had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. The physical and emotional effects of the disease greatly affected my emotional and mental well being.

The time spent in the village of Mulshi came at an opportune time for me, as it allowed for introspection. It marked the beginning of a long ardours journey of self discovery and inner work. I journaled daily and yoga assisted with my mental clarity which rebuilt my self confidence.
I reached the awakening that my physical and emotional needs are intertwined and the two needed to be healed simultaneously.
I began to soak myself up in spiritual principles, meditation practices and anything else that helped me get aligned with my true purpose… That is to be a source of love and inspiration in the world, and I continued the transformational work on myself when I returned home to South Africa.
